Day 1
On October 3, 2024, we inaugurated Project Based Learning Week 2024 on World Heart Day. The event commenced with a ceremonial lighting of candles and a color theme of yellow to signify positivity and happiness.
Our esteemed Directors, Dr. Satvinder Singh Bedi and Dr. Jasbir Kaur, were welcomed by our host, Ms. Zoya. Dr. Bedi highlighted the significance of literature and imparted effective study techniques, acknowledging Dr. Kuljeet G. Kahlon and her team for orchestrating the event. Dr. Jasbir encouraged students to actively participate in the PBL Week and shared her personal encounters with the library during her college years.
We were honored to host Mr. Suhas Tribhuvan from Gleneagles Hospital, a proficient kidney transplant manager and interpreter. He engaged with students, providing comprehensive training on CPR and elucidating the distinction between a heart attack and cardiac arrest.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of organ donation and advocated for increased social awareness on this subject.
This event served as a prelude to the forthcoming activities of the PBL Week, and our host, Zoya, concluded the day with a note of appreciation.
Day 2
Second Day of the PBL Week, hosted an engaging event centered around e-waste awareness, aligning with our theme of environmental consciousness. Today’s event focused on e-waste awareness, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship. The session began on an energetic note, with Dr. Kuljeet G. Kahlon and Ms. Neeta Malik expressing appreciation for Ms. Jadhav’s contribution to our understanding of this critical issue. The session featured
Ms. Ashwini Jadhav, a dedicated environmental educator, who shared her expertise on the critical issue of electronic waste and its impact on our planet. The atmosphere was vibrant, setting the stage for an informative session.

Ms. Jadhav provided insights into the industrial revolution and its impact on our environment. She emphasized the significant changes that have occurred over time.
Biodegradation Process:
She explained biodegradation and decomposition, using relatable examples to illustrate how natural processes break down materials. She illustrated these concepts with relatable examples, making the scientific principles accessible to all attendees.
Climate Change Impacts:
The discussion covered the social and economic ramifications of climate change, underscoring the urgency of addressing these issues.
Significance of Recycling:
Ms. Jadhav stressed the necessity of recycling, particularly e-waste. She introduced various e-waste products and the role of government-authorized agencies in managing them effectively.
Engagement in E-Waste Disposal:
Encouraging active participation, she urged students to engage in responsible e-waste disposal practices, emphasizing that individual actions contribute significantly to larger environmental goals.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover, Dispose:
She explained these key concepts, outlining how each contributes to sustainable environmental practices.
E-Waste Drive:
Faculty shared information about an upcoming e-waste drive, inviting students to contribute to the cause.

The event concluded with an interactive session where Ms. Jadhav addressed student queries, reinforcing the importance of understanding and acting on e-waste issues. The e-waste awareness event was a resounding success, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental challenges among students. Ms. Ashwini Jadhav’s insights inspired many to take proactive steps toward responsible e-waste disposal and environmental stewardship. We concluded the session with heartfelt thanks to Ms. Jadhav for her valuable contribution, and we look forward to continued efforts in promoting sustainability within our community.
