SGPC’s Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies's conducted an intercollegiate IT Tech Fest TechChanakya 2025 on 18th February 2025 which is IT-Fest of GNIMS organized by Department of Information & Technology (MCA Course). The theme of TechChanakya 2025 was Legacy Reloaded – “Where legacy Meets Innovation”. The year 2025 marked the second year of the Fest, organized and reloaded by the 2024-2026 batch in collaboration with the batch of 2023-2025.
Objective of TechChanakya 2025( IT-Tech Fest):
1. To design, organize, and execute a diverse range of engaging activities showcasing advancements in information technology.
2. To educate and ignite enthusiasm among students by exploring cutting-edge innovations in IT and digital transformation.
3. To create awareness of the real-world impact and applications of IT through interactive games, coding challenges, and project presentations.

The fest TechChanakya 2025 was inaugurated on 18th February 2025 in the presence of the following dignitaries:
1. Chief Guest Mr. Gaurav Vats Co-Founder and Managing Director of Anant India Technosoft Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai
2. Guest of Honor Mr. Devendra Pimputkar CEO of Techfer Global Pvt.Ltd, Mumbai

The major highlight of the event was Robot Train TechChanakya Express which carried the Candle required for the Lightening of the divine Lamp during inauguration.
After the inauguration, the welcome address was given by Dr. Jasbir Kaur ( Director, GNIMS Business School, Head of IT and HR) emphasizing the significance of data and Artificial Intelligence, the transformative impact of AI on various industries, and the challenges and opportunities it presents for future generations. She highlighted how ‘Legacy Reloaded’ represents the fusion of traditional knowledge with AI-driven innovations, ensuring a smarter, data-driven future while preserving the wisdom of the past.
Dr. Satvinder Singh Bedi ( Director, GNIMS) addressed the audience, highlighting the growing significance of AI and its impact on shaping future leaders. He emphasized how AI-driven insights and advanced analytics are transforming industries, enabling businesses to stay competitive and make data-driven decisions. He also stressed the importance of adapting to these technological advancements to thrive in the ever-evolving digital landscape
Chief Guest Mr. Gaurav Vats compared student growth to that of a Bamboo plant, which first develops strong roots underground before growing above the surface. He emphasized that just like sugarcane, students must build a solid foundation in their fundamentals before aiming for higher success. He also highlighted the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), stressing their transformative impact on industries. According to him, mastering these technologies will be crucial for the next generation, shaping the future of innovation and automation.
Guest of Honor Mr. Devendra Pimputkar emphasized the rapid evolution of cloud computing and the importance of adopting a multi-cloud strategy. He highlighted leading platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, SAS, SPS, and OCI, each offering distinct advantages. According to him, Azure excels in enterprise integration, AWS provides a vast range of services, Google Cloud stands out for its AI capabilities, and OCI delivers high-performance computing. He stressed that organizations must strategically leverage these cloud solutions to drive digital transformation and innovation
The inauguration concluded with a heartfelt thank-you note delivered by Mr. Amey Shinde, General Secretary of Tech Chanakya 2025.

The Tech Fest garnered an incredible response, with over 700 students from 48 colleges across Mumbai and the Mumbai Suburban region taking part in a variety of events. In a true sense the fest had summed and enhanced the planning, execution, and presentation abilities of the students. The champions of the Tech Chanakya IT Fest 2025 and the proud holders of the rolling trophy were Universal MSG-SGKM College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Ghatkopar.
