Environmental Sustainability Workshop

The second edition of the Cafeteria Chronicles was held at Room 402, GNIMS, on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, focusing on Environmental Sustainability. The guest speaker, Mr. Virat Singh, Head of Communication for Air Quality and Pollution at ASAR, shared his experiences and emphasized the importance of "Environmental Responsibility" over high-sounding terms. He encouraged the involvement of students in energy and water conservation, as well as waste management, to make GNIMS a green campus.

Dr. Pratiksha Palahe, Director Admin GNIMS, introduced the guest and discussed the management's commitment to creating a greener campus. Mr. Singh offered collaboration with ASAR and other environmental organizations to help GNIMS achieve its green goals. A vote of thanks highlighted the launch of a Terrace Garden as a first step towards this initiative, with an award ceremony planned for July 26, 2025, to honour students who contribute to campus sustainability. The event, attended by Director Dr. Satvinder Singh Bedi and senior faculty. It was vibrant and engaging event, despite being moved from the cafeteria due to maintenance.
