Celebrations with a difference

First-year Management Students along with Prof. Suchita Shetty of SGPC’s Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies Mumbai celebrated Republic Day with a difference! They were invited by Diya Mumbai for the inauguration of Tulsi Vatika at the Tata Memorial Centre located at Kharghar Navi Mumbai. Students got an opportunity to meet Dr Sudeep Gupta Director of Tata Memorial Centre and he invited them to campus for community work and to learn management lessons.

Students got an opportunity to see the varied types of Tulsi saplings like Vaijayant Tulsi, Ram Tulsi, Shyam Tulsi, Lavang Tulsi, and Kapoor Tulsi. The best part was they got an opportunity to plant it themselves. They were briefed about the medicinal value of Tulsi and saw the cultural program put up by the caregivers of cancer patients in the auditorium. They interacted with a few cancer patients and their family members. There were lot of takeaways for all students.
