Convocation 2018

The Convocation began with a majestic and grand academic procession followed by the traditional prayer song of the Institute.

The convocation had students of full -time management programs MMS, PGDM batch 2015-17, part-time management programs MMM, MFM, MHRDM batch 2014-17 along with Executive MBA 10th & 11th batch & students of Post Graduate Program in Sports Management (2016-17). The chief guest for the evening was Dr.Vijay Khole, Former Vice-Chancellor -University of Mumbai & Amity University Mumbai. Dr.Khole congratulated the batch on their achievements and wished them best for their future, reminding them that their bond with the institution was a strong one and that they could always come back and be associated with the institution.

Dr. D.Y.Patil, Director, GNIMS, presented a report of Institute Achievements in the past academic year. Certificates of Academic Excellence were given to batch toppers and pride was evident in the eyes of faculty members as they watched their students walk up the dais to collect their trophy. The Director in his report touched upon the infrastructure developments in the permanent campus and highlighted infrastructure developments in the permanent campus and highlighted the shifting of the students to the campus. He emphasized the achievement of the long cherished dream of the Institute to shift to its new campus.

He also touched upon all the other salient developments including publications, collaborations & collaborative research, awards, distinguished visitors, student activities, placement etc.

A scintillating medals and awards ceremony was also part of the Convocation. Mr.Abhishek Pange,(alumni) Director of Marketing & PR – NBA India was presented with the GNIMS Award for Professional Excellence 2018

The Convocation ended with a Vote of Thanks by the Co-ordinator of the event Prof. Suchita Shetty.
