Visit to Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh Trade Union Office

Continuing the tradition of last year this year also the MMS & PGDM HR students were taken for a trade union visit to the Matunga unit of Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh Trade Union.

The interaction started with Mr. Shetty (Training Department) explaining the structure of Indian Railways. Shri. V.K. Sawant (Chairman) then sensitized students on various issues like employee strength, job related challenges of railway employees. The concept of trade unions and industrial relations with respect to Central Railway was then explained in detail with reference to various affiliated bodies at state, national and international level.

Role of trade union in employee welfare and dispute settlement was also discussed. It was indeed and exhaustive learning experience for the HR students.
